Jim was a founding member, and serves as an advisor to the Image and Arts Council of Troy Michigan.

The goal of the organization (know as I/ACT) is to enhance Troy's image through Arts, Culture and Urban Design.  He has participated in mural projects for the Troy schools. 

He was also instrumental in recording I/ACT's art seminars for re-broadcast on local cable acces tv.  His on-going goal is to promote collaboration between I/ACT and other arts organizations in metro Detroit.
